newly painted room… borders wont work…?
we have an old house. The walls are really strange. they are not smooth.. rather all bumps and even have weird circular parts of bumpiness. Major pain to paint it… but I did… HOWEVER, NO wallpaper or border will stick to this. I even used wallpaper paste. Came right off. I was going to do a mural but now that wont work… Is there any type of material that WILL stick to these walls (it’s my child’s room and really wanted a fish motif…). Any advice ?? except for tearing down the walls… isnt going to happen!!

There is a special product you can buy that puts wallpaper up on difficult walls. Sometimes when you overlap wallpaper it won’t stick to each other so they have this special paste for it. I think it will work for you. You could also try “sizing” the area first. Go to a store that sells wallpaper or a hardware store. They should have it.
