saltwater fly fishing rod question?

I can buy expensive weight 10Wt suuuuupppper 9 or a good deal. So my question is, if the fish is most important is a rat in redfish / 9wt would be a job? i fish in Galveston Texas and the salt water bay just mota go trout, redfish, flounder, so that the red makes me wonder if a handful 9wt fine. thanks

A 9-weight is more than capable. A decent med / fast rod 9wt have no problem handling flies 1 / 0 in a coastal wind and redfish to 15 pounds. A weight-10 is not necessary. Except for a slight wobble stick a lower weight, they get tired before. Solution: Get the bar is best for you.
