salt water fly fishing reels

when saltwater fly fishing for blue fish, how can I connect the leader of steel? ?
I guess Steel must be attached, as in normal fish (baitcaster, etc.), but I'm not entirely postive. As I am sure I can say, I'm new to fly fishing in salt water. Basically I want to fly stripers and blue fish, walking on the beach … casting lures with my Penn reel caused too many problems because decoys are light wieght. In addition, if you can suggest the kinds of utility line …. and if the purchase of a hook small boat to retrieve the fish caught is a good idea or not. (I'm leaning toward him on the hook) thank you in advance.
I am not a fisherman saltwater, but I have seen references to two different Technical Datos leaders to join a fly Steel Pike / Muskies: 1) link Live with a knot Albright 2) use a cape and a tiger ring node (much like a node in turn, made two) to attach the ring steel. I have no personal experience with these two techniques, but it could be a place to start looking. Gary
