Where do you begin to learn about fly fishing?

I have a reel and a fly rod, but I do not know where to start Learning flies. What are good resources to learn about when the flies come out and what time of day are visible. I would like something had also flies in New Jersey. I'm from New Jersey and I'm 16. Please help!

About 24 years ago I took some courses at a speed that provides local high school. Have one point during the course of the afternoon. I think everyone has been $ 30 at the time. A focus on the fundamentals of sports such as wrestling and quality. The other was bound and entomology. Community college that you can offer some similar. Fly Tyer, Fly Rod & Reel, and American Fly Fisher are just a few resources. If the cold-water species are its primary objective followed by salmon, trout and steelhead as good. Also, examine the books of fly tying. Some have not only recipes, they also offer fishing techniques and the reference to the specific nature and flies work best. Anything by Skip Morris, Brian Chan, Bob Clouser, and Randall Kaufman fit this description. If you are looking primarily for casting information Kreher Lefty is the man. Pioneer and legend are better descriptions of the man.
