I know there are weight limits on baggage, but …?

What about the size of a bag during the flight? I bought a large bag to carry all the clothes because I am a commercial fisherman and take a pile of clothes on the day of fishing trips at sea 21 … I use my own bag when I visit my sick aunt in Texas, the dimensions are 15 "x 34" W x 17 "D. .. is it too big? Do not know why, but I have not really been able to find anything useful on google or anything. Thank you for your time

Airline depends on what you fly. Access the site of the airline and show a list of required dimensions. For example, "airlines-United Business for checked baggage is 62 linear inches (height plus width plus depth).
