Walking in the desert and survive for a long period? (Or years)?
I'm seriously considering going into the desert and live my life in peace. I want to live off the land, wildlife, lakes, streams and rivers. This is not March 1, taking the evening and I welcome suggestions or experiences that everyone can be had in this area. I searched for things like this should be the essence of survival. Tent bag Sleeping, survival kits, rifles, fishing equipment, survival books, food, water, clothing, etc., etc. What I am interested in the readers are reading the personal experiences of people who are interested in trying the same lifestyle. I intend this step in my life somewhere in the next three months. Experiences? Suggestions? Development? Interest in participating? All ideas are welcome. If Please serious answers only. Thank you.
The way my life goes, I'd love to stay in the wild. I'm sitting in my office all day and dream of being on. I thought to take some time to myself after completing my Masters, and maybe hiking the Appalachian Trail or something. I'm tired of all the stress and deadlines, and would welcome the freedom to roam the desert. I think it's a great idea, and I think you should go for it if you really want. By the way, where you going? I think Alaska would be an excellent place to try something like that.
