Fly Fishing For Carp

In the UK what do you do with all this and freshwater fish carp?
I was wondering if you eat and if so, how? My opinion is that it is very bony and the flesh may be less than delightful. I guess that is known freshwater fish for a reason. And what about fishing for trout? I read "Fish Fly: Memories of the past Fishing" by JR Hartley earlier this year and it seems that every time you turned around there was a place for trout fishing course. the book is set in mid-1900, so maybe things have changed.
Eat any freshwater fish is frowned upon in the UK although some perch and eat grayling.Carp are the most popular fish to catch, but was returned as soon as possible. All about capturing not kill them. use nets to keep or carp sacks for storage until the end, then the release. Germany and Eastern Europe who eat carp. Now we have many immigrants here that part of the world and sometimes they eat the fish catch causing a scandal, but I guess it is because we come from different cultures. There are many excellent trout streams and rivers in the United Kingdom and lakes. JR Hartly would always be happy.
