Fly Fishing Accessories
New fly fishing and need equipment?
Hello I live on Vancouver Island and want to get into fishing Fly. I trout fishing rainbow trout in rivers and lakes and coho salmon in tidal waters, the type of facility recommended for a beginner and I bought waders and boots and all the accessories you need, I'm not sure what rod and reel obtain, and the thick line and bottom line. I thought 5w 6w a pilgrim or as a 2x or 3x. I understand how to line widths and cape work force, I just want a second opinion on certain what to buy before you buy. I have about $ 200 to spend (more or less) and want to test something like salt water. Thank you (and I have a bar 9 foot rod that my father gave me some time ago is a good thing a bit dated, you can therefore be used if the coil is more expensive, or both are not in my price range but still require a reel) Thanks
I recommend research in a rod and reel combo in Cortland 6MWT. The reason I recommend Cortland is that they have excellent warranty on their products. Little matter what you do or how old he is, who will repair or replace your rod and reel. I know people who have closed the doors of the vehicle and replaced for free (less shipping). Since you are only the beginning, this bar great job and did not notice a difference in quality between this and top center line. Tippet material depend on the exact fish that go so far and the water conditions. If slow is very clear and have a lighter weight, Quick and dirty so I went with a leading truck and cape.
