farmington river fly fishing

I am a dry fly fisherman, and I begin nymphs. So I use as a fish '/ caddis summer and winter?
I live in Connecticut, and I do most of my fly fishing in the Farmington River. Im want to fish in winter and it seems that this is the type of caddisfly which is mainly used. Should I use a small weight to a strike indicator or I can let it float freely?
They sold grain head nymphs, in general, nymphs drifting death of an indicator of the strike or not. Some argue that the indicators of the strike is just fishing cork. You can learn all about this line to watch videos on YouTube and other sources, but I wrote YouTube on how to fish nymphs and many things have happened.
